100,000 Calories burnt

I have a Polar HRM and wear it religiously when I’m working out.  I’ve also been religiously recording the result from each session in a spreadsheet.   OK OK in case you haven’t noticed I’m a complete nerd.

Anyway, I’ve just realised that I’ve hit 100,000 for the year!  I actually don’t know if that’s a huge number but if feels like it to me.  A few months ago I had a look at my total and thought I would try and get to 150,000 by the end of the year.  Here we are towards the end of July and I’m at 100,000 and I’ve had a couple of back injuries and bouts of cold and flu.

So, here’s my goal.  Burning 200,000 calories by the end of 2012.  That’s about 5000 a week which is more than I’ve been doing but I don’t exactly go hard all the time. Time to step it up!!!
